Hi,

I have not been posting here for a looong time.

I would like to turn your attention on a nice knife inspired by khukuri. My friend knifemaker did it and shows it on his website. He does not know I am putting the link here and I am not his dealer or anything like. But I think you guys could enjoy the knife. I had it in my hand already. It has heavy butcap so its ballance point is around the bolster. But it feels lively in hand.

Blade - carbon steel damascus, made from 3 bilets of 200 layers, together about 600 layers.
Handle - Jarrah(Eukalyptus), copper and stainless rings, buffalo horn.
Bolster and butcap - ordinary steel, patina
pinned hidden tang
Lenght 425 mm, blade 265 mm

You can see his entire gallery here: Gallery

Enjoy

he has some very good looking items but without english I can't tell the prices or what's for sale

Cosco, your friend is an artist. I can't give higher praise than that. Guys, check out #36 for a perfect Sarge knife...

Running a currency converter it Looks like $1200 US for that khukuri.

Regards,

Norm

Thank you, Cosco....

I especially like the smaller knife, but they are each beautiful examples of craftsmanship.

Come back soon.

BTW, we have some knifemakers in our small country here but this chap's work is the best. Simple designs and every knife is different and well made.

That is a beauty and that guy is gifted. Blessed even. Speachless. Thanks for posting.

I thought it was hilarious. You realize your brain is still intact and has, in reality, not been eaten. I think you're joking here, but not sure. This forum loves zombie jokes. ;)

Daddy,
If you were willing to receive PMs or emails, I might have something to say to you about rare Czech handguns. Since You aren't, I don't.

weird, eh? there are a number of people that don't receive PMs. at all - and you don't know that until you've written 5 paragraphs and attempted to send it.

then you try email, and find out that no, they don't even have a gmail drop box listed. uhm, kay. so the ONLY way is to send them stuff in the clear. for certain people in particular (not here), it makes it painfully obvious that you're trying to provide them with essential information to help them be a better net citizen... and naturally everyone gets to see this now (because some of them also elect to not receive notifications of ANY kind, they don't even know they got this information - oiy!)

so, come on guys, get in touch, be touched, turn on PM and/or email. it won't hurt. much :>

Seriously, think of it as an Internet marketing survey- over 100 hits in 2 weeks. Thanks for contributing.

I mean, who DOESN'T want to see "Photo of khukuri recovered from UFO crash site in the Himalayas with extraterrestrial "kami" symbols"?

I know I would- if a Zombie hadn't already eaten my brain. :foot:

Gang, evidently it's not a well known fact that only paying users have the privilige of sending or receiving Private Messages.

And I agree that everyone should have an auxillary email account of some sort even if it's Hotmail or Yahoo mail.
I deleted my Gmail account because of the amount of spam I was starting to receive.
I went for a long, long, time without getting any at all and then one day I had ten and the next day even more.
It was too hard to keep my mail sorted from the spam so I did the obvious.
Another thing I didn't like about the Gmail was that when I would go to send a link from the Internet the Gmail account would present itself instead of my SBC global account and I could never find a place to turn it off.:(

And it was kinda funny in that I put my Hotmail account down as the email to send my end of service notice too from Gmail and Gmail wouldn't send the notice to that account. I had to put my ISP account down before Gmail would send it.
When I finally did send my ISP account the Gmail sent the end service notice immediately. :grumpy: Gmail became more trouble than it was worth to me.:( YMMV.
