Damascus Khukuri

I haven't decided if I want to purchase a membership here or not.
I didn't give an email because of the spam issue.

Sorry you feel that way, Bri.
I am not really a C&R or antique gun collecter per se.
I enjoy owning and shooting modern semi-auto pistols.

DD I have my home email address listed in my profile and as far as I know it has never caused me to have any spam generated from the forums here.

I also didn't have my Gmail address listed anywhere and it was starting to generate more and more spam each day.
Every time I turned around it seemed that the list was updating itself in the corner of my monitor.:( :grumpy:

I'll second what Yvsa said here. When I first joined I listed a junk e-mail collector address I keep around for just such a purpose. No spam came and once I found out it was "safe" I put my common address in my profile. I get a few mails a week from forumites. I enjoy them. Join up DaddyDett, we like having you here.

Gang, evidently it's not a well known fact that only paying users have the privilige of sending or receiving Private Messages.

weird, i could have sworn i could message before i went Gold...

still, it's bizarre that one cannot contact a member privately, as is sometimes required.

as for gmail, well, you could give it another try. i'm not sure why it would try to take over your main mailer/default mailer functions without asking. mmm. that would be worth contacting them over.

Not at all, Paul. I hope for your review of the knife when you get it. ;)

Guys, as I said, I do not have any profit on this. Just like to help my friend.

Well, I hope you are earning points to get discounts on the Blades Petr makes.:D

cosco, you should post the pictures of the Handles you've made

I have to get some free webspace for pictures. I do not like imageshack and the like. The pics disappear after a while.

As for the points for discount - you would not believe it but Petr always sells me some blades cheaper than listed on his website. I owe him a lot.

James, it is about 295 USD (1 USD is approx 26 Krowns).

Some info:
Blade is carbon steel damascus (O1 steel + ordinary steel), about 250 layers.
Handle is cocobolo, bolster is nickel damascus, fiber and nickel silver spacers.
Monted as hidden tang, glued, secured with stainless pin.
Sheath comes with it - handsewn cow leather.
Knife lenght is 224 mm, blade itself measures 109 mm.

Let me know if I can be of any help.
