I got a letter from the local postmaster today. It reads in part:
Effective July 1st, 2006 you address will be changing to a new city name and zip code. Yadda, Yadda, Yadda.
Your address would be as follows:
Your name
Street number and name
Damascus, OR 97089
Yadda, Yadda."
Actually the village of Damascus has been around since the days of the Oregon trail (2d to the last stop at Oregon City). We incorporated at the last election, now we are getting our own post office. I think there are some other Damascus's in the US. But do they make Damascus there?
