Damascus Pics

Will be waiting for the mail lady everyday till my Damascus 'dashi arrives.
Me till it gets here
Me when it gets here,

Those look great!
Cant wait 'to get mine! :D
Any cool ideas for sheaths? Maybe a pocket/with a loop for diagonal belt carry? Leather of course...

They come with Kydex but let me know if you really want leather. We have been debating buying a new hide as Sara does the leatherwork and is busy with Jade but ultimately she would like to do some more leatherwork. Just let me know! :)

Definitely leather for this one for me.
It will just look so much more distinguished in a nice leather coat :D

Sounds great! We'll order a big piece soon, Sara has been looking for a nice one. $45 for leather and it's going to be nice! Leather does rock...

I like something in a soft, split Lambskin Cafe Racer, black w/ tab collar and zip sleeves- 44R. :p

Daniel, I'd like leather too if you go that route. Any way to make a pancake front pocket kind of thing so it doesn't flop sideways in yer pocket?

We'll fly someone over to measure you tomorrow. :D

Sounds good, I think I know what you mean. I'll wait to hear back from everyone and we will decide on a final design.

Cool. Thanks Daniel.

I was thinking that one side of the sheath (top) could be somewhat wetformed to retain the dashi in one position while in sheath.

Sounds great!

It is hard to show in photos but the leather has great retention, almost as good as kydex.

They are wet formed, edge shaped, wet and dry burnished and more... each sheath takes a day to make but it is over a 4 day process. Everything is dyed at every stage and double dyed at the end with curing time between each dyeing followed by a soak in pure neatsfoot oil. Heavy duty leather and full welt double stitched construction with industrial quality leather cement. Each hole is spotted then drilled and cleaned so the stitching looks great on both sides. :D
