I hope so, think I am going to be very carefull with it, still not convinced about cutting fruits, but we will see. My small collection lacked a damascus one, but now it is on its wayYou're really gonna love it!![]()
Just use it and wipe er down when you are done. Wipe it occasionally with an oily rag and ya be good to go. I've made many, many knives from damascus steel. I don't anymore cause I had difficulty getting consistent good quality steel. Damascus makes a great using knife and you don't really need to worry about it. I decided to get the m4, that was the one who also draw my attention in the first place. The tiger has a little more weight to it, and I kind a like that, but not worth the extra money. So, did you decide to go with the Tiger or the Sherman? I've had the M4 Sherman for nearly a year now. I absolutely love the knife, as well as the incredible history behind the steel. Keep a light coat of oil on it and you won't have any issues.
I thought about picking up the Tiger, but couldn't justify the extra ~$150 premium over the M4... And I didn't know how to feel about the fact it's made from a literal nazi tank, lol.

A little different then opening boxes and cutting zipties, that is some proper work to be done.Just use it and wipe er down when you are done. I made this blunt nosed Castrator as a one off for the wife at her request. In cowboy slang this type of knife is referred to as a nutter:

Point is high carbon damascus is just like high carbon steel. Use it and take care of it and it will be generational.
