My version of Mareko’s malestorm damascus, this santoku is truly a one of a kind piece and includes a full build video as featured on Youtube. I used 15N20 and 1084 as the base steels, and stacked them to form a gradient pattern before forming the final pattern. Handle is made from a really nice piece of stabilized spalted maple and includes my classic style of a slim, grooved handle which feels great especially in a pinch grip. Finished dimensions are roughly 1/8” at the spine, 2.75” heel, 7” blade, and 11.5” overall. Blade comes with a custom leather cover and padded case for storage/transport. Any questions, reach out! $750 shipped. Got some new equipment I want to get, so giving a little bit of a discount here on BFs!

WOW...that's a magnificent knife!
The fullers look very good.
Great job on the videos as well.
How much does it weigh and how wide is the handle?

Gorgeous knife! I picked up one of Matt’s santoku here a couple of years ago. They cut and feel as good in your hand as they look. The leather saya is neat too, and it will last and wear well.

I appreciate it! I’m at work today, so I’ll give you the actual weight and width tomorrow when I get off. But I like to keep things slim. I believe I thinned the handle to around 5/8 before fullering and rounding.

Thanks man! Glad that knife is working out good for you!

Just an update with true measurements. Handle is just under 5/8" and weight is 8oz.
