Damascus sheet?

Hi, first time posting. Is there any supplier for Damascus around .05" thick?

Not that I'm aware of... it would likely have to be a special order. Why do you need it that thin?

Edited to add: that works out to 1/20 of an inch, you might have better luck, just maybe, finding 1/16" stock, but still... I've never seen it for sale that thin.

What use do you have in mind for the sheet? Why so thin?

Call Brad and Lacy at Alabama and they can make up whatever you want.
 
Thank you @GHEzell, that may work. @bladsmth, I am no knife maker, just fascinated by all of you guys. I am a machinist, and i have a project that i think damascus would look great on. Thank you.
 
Get something thicker, grind flat, sand, etch. Decide which side you like best and then just take the other side down until you have the thickness you want.
