Mr. Cigarman, is this a liner lock ? also, please excuse my ignorance but what is the purpose of tang extending beyond handle in closed position ?
and is this an AO or flickable ?

This is a liner lock. The purpose of the extended tang is just another way to open the knife. It can be flicked open with the index finger or opened simply by grasping the blade itself.
