Damascus skyline?

So I have wanted a Damascus skyline for a while but didn't want to pay secondary market prices. BladeHQ has them in stock now but there has been a 30% price increase since last run? Or there abouts, anyway. Wow prices are just continuing to grow. I don't need this model and the price is still lower than the demanding secondary market but wow. I know this is a dead horse but wow I needed to vent. That is all.
 
I've noticed prices in general have risen, with most production companies, based on the deflating value of the dollar and all that political stuff no one wants to hear about.

Personally, I think $70 for the damascus skyline is reasonable, especially considering its a brand name damascus and not some knock off/questionable quality damascus. Plus, the knife is made in the USA. I don't $30 is an exorbitant up-charge for getting something that obviously takes much more time to make than a billet of Sandvik 14C28N. I thinks it more of a stretch to pay $60 for CF and S30V, though that is an exclusive.
 
Kershaw guy has the Damascus Skyline for $69 and shipping is free...that'll save a few bucks. Since there's obviously been a new run of Damascus blades, you might wait a little and see if you can pick up a blem from Kershawguy? I have one of each and can't tell the difference. I think the premium for the Damascus is worth it; it really looks good on the Skyline. It CAN rust though...
 
Well after all my belly aching I did it anyway and I am not even remotely disappointed with my decision. Also grabbed a a custom clip from gnoleb to make it even better.
