Damascus & Stag Fighter by Newton & Fitch

This Fighter is an interesting colaboration between Ron Newton, MS and John Fitch, MS. The Damascus, which was forged by Ron, is a faithful rendition of Steve Filicietti's finger pattern in a 6" blade, and is truly spectacular. The knife originally had a giraffe bone handle by John Fitch, which was replaced with a beautiful Sambar stag carver by Ron Newton. (Thank you Ron!) The gorgeous nickle silver sheath has a Damascus button and is simply spectacular. The fittings are Damascus. This knife was originally part of a set and is marked 2/2. 1/2 was owned by RogerP and I don't know where that one is currently. I have incoming steel from Ron Newton, which means...

I suspect that if it was 100% Ron Newton, this knife would have sold in the $1,900-$2,000 range.

But it is only about 90% Ron Newton, so we shall see what we shall see.
