Peter and I discussed the ferrules' contouring, and various ways to
create a different affect than previously used. Terminating the contours
part way through allows each ferrule to match the adjoining stag, on one side, and
the damascus, on the other. As I recall, this was Peter's idea, and seems to have
been a very good one.
