I built these small blades, after speaking with a friend who runs a trap line.
He actually showed me the process used in skinning a furry critter. Armed with this information I lit the forge.
The 188 layer damascus blades are 3" the o.a. is 7". clay hardened and tested.
Materials: stabilized redwood burl, box elder stained black, copper, n.s. and brass.
I'll be working on the sheaths this week and will sharppen the blades when that is done.
Let me know what you think, as if I had to ask!
Fred
I have two of these sold. If there is any interest in them, on this site, I will post in the for sale area.
