Thanks for looking!

wow:eek:, that's a good deal. I don't know how you could let that much time and energy go for so little. It's a beauty. What's with the 1200?

If it had an ironwood handle, I could charge more. Micarta just ain't real classy, you know?

The 1200 is the serial number. I don't use serial numbers anymore, unless the customer wants it.

Thanks, Bill! Actually, this one is a slightly smaller version of the one you have. It's about an inch shorter.

I have one of them too. I think mine is 1165-but that may be my license #. Right now it it laying on my kitchen table.
I like the idea of serial numbers. It's hard to keep track of though.
A very nice knife that will do damn near anything you need it to do! It wll handle big chores and can be used for small work too.
Phillip,
Is this blade smaller than the other ones like it I have? I have the smaller damascus utility but I have one of these in A-2? I think.

I think the ones you have are the bigger 11" version.
I'm not sure what steel yours is. Since yours do have serial numbers, I could look it up for you if you want. :)
I'm thinking about stamping the steel type instead of the serial number. What do you think of that idea?

Why don't you stamop the serial # on the blade and the steel type on the exposed part of the tang?
Phillip , I'll look at my knife at lunchtime and if it is the larger knife I will take this one. If somebody else wants it in the meantime I guess he'll get it. I hate to put a qualifier on a sure sale. I'll get back to you in an hour or so.

This is one fine blade, love the recurve: very nice !
Almost glad I was minutes late- don't really have the $$$ but this would have been a very difficult knife to pass up.

Thanks' Stabber :-) I don't know how I could have hidden it from my wife, er, creatively funded it. Nice buy.
Phillip, micarta has tons of class on a hard working knife, at least to me.

I'm late to the thread and thinking- Oh I hope it's taken. No will power so I procrastinate.

That's very nice. The last picture shows some nice grain in the blade.
