Damasteel etching

Greetings, does anyone know if there is a way to mask Damasteel that will withstand the muratic acid etch? Thanks, Gene

Red fingernail polish, been using it for years and it'll resist strong nitric as well.

Thanks, I will try that although Damasteel's instructions say the muratic want's to lift the polish.
