Damasteel Icepick

And now, it's a Betzner icepick.

I have wanted something by Magnus ever since I first saw his work a few years ago. But with the Warenskis and the Ericksons, I knew that anything I purchased would be destined to eventually be sold.

But THIS IS A PIECE I WILL KEEP. It's cool and it is so representative of the work Magnus does, down to the sheath itself. What a fine beauty! What an artist.

Thanks, Magnus, I am amazed this was available!

Best,

Bob

Smart move, Bob. Magnus' star is rising:cool:

Every single aspect of the 'Pick and sheath is utterly beautiful and breathtakingly outstanding!

A very rare beauty indeed!

You Sir, are an artisan!

I knew when I saw the maker's name before I even looked at the pics I would be amazed.I certainly was'nt disappointed!! Fantastic work Magnus, and congrats on the snag Bob!

Lorien, I wanted a piece by Magnus for a long time - but I am always destined to buy, then sell, unless it's by two particular makers. I did not want that to be the case.

Well, when I saw this piece, I shot out an email because I knew this was the one I would keep and I have told Magnus as much. And it's just as good as a knife by Magnus because it is a tool with the Axelson flair - all the way to the sheath.

It's just WAY cool.

Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate it very much!

And thank you Bob for deciding to ad this to your collection.
And the fact that you want to keep it means that much extra to me!
I look forward to delivering it to you in person at Blade!

Regards
/Magnus

I have absolutely no need for an icepick, but I would probably start buying blocks of ice if I owned this! Great job.

Looking forward very much to meeting you, Magnus, and taking delivery on the "Mr Sinister"!

Best,

Bob

Wonderful design Magnus and great addition Bob.

Didn't see this post until just now as I was away on business. My wife loves this piece and would have gone after it if she'd seen it earlier. Glad you are holding on to it, Bob. It needs to be with someone who really appreciates the work Magnus creates!

I have always loved Magnus' eye for design and this is the perfect piece for me to have and hold. It mates all of the design features (the angles, the materials and the shape of sheath) that Magnus uses in the creation of his knives, but in a tool instead - and that will keep my attention for years.

My new Damasteel icepick, nicknamed "Sinister", arrived. I was originally going to pick it up from Magnus at Blade, but had to cancel attendance.

Magnus, it's a real beauty. I'll never let this one go, I love it.

Best regards,

Bob Betzner
