Has anyone had first hand experience with steel? How is it performance wise? Edge holding, toughness, and corrosion resistance?

I have worked with it for about a year. Grinds easyer than ATS-34 holds a somewhat better edge. I love it. Check my site for more pictures.
This one I call Frog Hunter. Its Odins Eye Damasteel

Where do you buy your damasteel? I don't think I've ever seen it for sale.

the german maker peter herbst made a few knives with damasteel and tested it. compared to his standard damascus steel he use (from fritz schneider, germany) he came to the conclusion that edge holding and thoughness is significant under schneiders damascus. but a good steel though. i hope this help a bit, its not much info
