The Damasteel Fighter got two brothers today
.
And on monday they're going out for heattreatment.
So if anyone should be interested in a dwarf knife (fighter, hunter or something else) , drop me a mail so I can get it done on the weekend to send it out on monday too.
Here are some "making of" pics:
Two are made from Damasteel. One is for a german Customer and the other reground (I made it thinner to give it a good edge later on) "original" Damasteel fighter is for Dudley (dawkind) .
The other one is made of ATS 34 and will also be shipped to America when he's finished.
And I finaly managed to grind my blades completely freehand without my crapy toolrest
, that's a great feeling if you know you can do it just like the pros
.
With the little ones it's a bit difficult, but it works as you can see.
But my fingers ached after all the grinding, because of the lack of space to hold on. But I hope that it will get better with practise.
I'm looking forward to your comments.
Marcus
