I am posting this here as this is the area of BladeForums I frequent the most. Sometime early Tuesday morning between 1am and 5am my apartment was burglarized. My fiance and I were sleeping in the bedroom with the door shut with a fan and air conditioner running...we didn't hear anything. They took my duty belt and pistol (Sig Sauer P220), handcuffs and clips. They took a brand new Rock River AR-15, and Glock 36. They also took my wallet and a 40 inch Vizio flat screen, her purse, a new Nikon camera, Xbox360 and ipod. AND to beat it all the tranny crapped out in my F-150 last Thursday...

DAMN! Hills? You didn't hear them?? That sucks majorly. Do you have the serial #'s of your guns so you can have them put in as stolen??

Didn't hear a thing bro...and yes I have all my serial #'s and they have been submitted on NCIC and Leads Online. We have both Cabell and Wayne drug units and detective units working on recovering the guns.

Dear lord that's awful man, I'm so sorry to hear it! What a rough ticket. Many hopes that you get everything back in short order!

Good deal. I was talking to the Timberline Outfitter guys one time at the hunt show and they got ripped off and then the bad guys tried to sell their guns I think on the parking lot of the Kanawha Mall and they got busted and they got all their guns back.

I hope I am able to get the guns back, but it's a long shot even with serial numbers. They are most likely gonna be traded for dope or other guns...will probably never show up in a pawn shop.

On the bright side the left three SAK's and a Kershaw Blur laying untouched on my coffee table lol.

That sucks! Two things I despise are a thief and a liar.Good luck in getting your guns and stuff back.I bought my wife a German sheppard because I work a lot of overtime on 3rd shift in a prison. He is better than an alarm system.

man that sucks, hope they shoot themselves in the leg and then drop the tv on their foot, brother I hate to hear that..........sorry bro........

the guns will most likely go to mexico. concentrate on the camera, x-box, and ipod. pawn shops have to keep a daily record of transactions. and most states require a picture i.d. tp pawn anything. good luck!!! hope they get the bastards !!! paul

if it makes you feel any better there was a guy whose truck was broken into, and he lost his 300 dollar drag bag, a 5000 dollar rifle and 5000 dollar suppressor, and an AR-15, if my memory serves me it was an LWRC. That's a rough day. I had my bicycle, handmade in the US (titanium), GT Xizang stolen out of my Air Force dorms. Also had a huge shipment via the military movers that never came back...

aawwwww man... sorry to hear that... that's horrible....:thumbdn: keep us posted...

This thing really works: http://www.amazon.com/Skylink-SC-10...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251931394&sr=8-1

I got it because my wife has to have some kind of background noise on when she sleeps (we use an air purifier just for the noise). With that thing on, someone could rob our whole house and we wouldn't hear it (sort of like what happened to the OP).

So we got that home security system. Setup was a snap. Everything is wireless. There is no monthly maintenance fee. Arm it when you go to bed or go out during the day. If the alarm goes off, it has a phone dialler which will call a list of phone numbers that you program in with a message that you record. We've had it for a few months now and haven't had any false alarms. Batteries are still good too.

With the alarm and my gun by my bedside, I sleep much more comfortably than before.

Sorry to hear 'Ol Bud...Not to sound negative but my home was broke into about 6yrs ago in the middle of the day while my wife & me were at work. They took all my guns (7 rifles & shotguns) most of these firearms were gifts handed down from my Grandfather...these guns had a lot of memories tied to them & most of them can never be replaced as they are no longer made. -
Model 94 Winchester .32 cal (stopped production in 70's)
Stevens over & under .22/.410 (Had the synthetic stock that looked like wood)
Daisy .22L (Only produced .22's for a very short time)
Lee Enfield #4 (I think)
Winchester 1300 speedpump .12ga
Savage 64FV .22LR
Savage 94Fv.17HMR

They missed my S&W .357 Combat Mag. & my Phoenix Arms .22LR pistol & they took some Cash.
The State Police came & took my gun info (serial #'s) & looked around & thats the last I ever heared of anything. I kept a check around the local pawn & gun shops but no luck :(
I hope it all works out for you 'Ol bud:thumbup:

I had a bunch of guns stolen years ago and they got the guy before he could sell them. I hope you are that lucky.
Damn I feel for you. I hate thieves! I've been burglarized twice and I know of no worse feeling.
If there is anything I can do...

Sorry to hear about this event. I hope that the firearms are recovered post haste.

Might be time to invest in a good gun safe.

Best,

- Mike
