A beautiful & Elegant 3" closed teardrop with warncliffe blade, hafted in black lip mother of pearl. The handle & bolster has a perfectly executed stepped carved line.Amazing piece.Comes with a storage pouch & leather pocket pouch marked D Burke
The blade steel is Sandvik ss
Here is a little more info on that steel :
"Dan is now using a cutlery steel from Sandvik,of Sweden.
They specialize in cutlery steel. This new steel,14C28N,is a combo of their 13C26 razor blade steel & their common 12C27 ss. The end result,a ss that'll take a razor edge like some of the carbon steel you all know to get that "toothy" edge.Knifemakers will like it as well,as the HT time is reduced, the liquid nitrogen quench takes less time & the temp. on the HT needs not to go as high as other ss,so its easier on your oven"
SOLD
This was $1200. on Dan's Table at Blade 2011,so this is an opportunity here.
Paypal plus fee,US Postal M.O.
I can take pictures all day long of this knife & it'd never do it justice. But these are what I'll post
Feel free to ask any questions,Thanks,
-Vince
