I aquired from Dan a beautiful, hollow ground, D-2 Kriss. This knife is one of only seven made in the world today. It was said that no one could make a hollow ground Kriss out of D-2 steel by hand. Well, Dan who has been making knives for over 50 years did not make one knife but seven. A gentleman called him from out of country and asked Dan to make him a Kriss, just add 3 1/2 inches to the blade. Without talking about handle material Dan said the knife would cost him $8000.00, but told the man he would probably not do the knife because of the time involved. Dan Harrison has made knives for Royal families, museums and collaborated with Kershaw and Ka-Bar on knife designs. Dan also won the blade tool of the year award in 1986 and he holds over 30 different patents. Look for up coming features in several major knife publication's on Dan's knives in the near future. The cost of this knife is only $6000.00. If you have any questions or need more pics. please let me know.
Thanks,
zeder2
