It's not often you get to thank two skillful gentlemen at once.

Back in May, I bought a Dan Prentice fixed blade from Totally Judy -- funds donated to the Vampire Gerbil Fund (Search on the Gerbil's name and see what all the fuss is about!). The leather sheath would come from Mike Bartol.

Well, a few months have passed -- and the knife just arrived.

It's gorgeous. A damascus pattern featuring L6 and a differentially quenched blade. Smooth, clean edge that's razor sharp. A beautiful walnut burl handle with a single, classy mosaic pin. The knife was intended for my youngest daughter (blue dyed handle!) and she is already in love -- I may not get to touch it again for quite awhile!

Mike Bartol talked several times with my daughter to get her druthers on a leather sheath. Needless to say, it's a home run. It fits the blade perfectly, has a nice closure at the top, and extends far enough to protect the handle without preventing an easy draw. Thick, soft, and stylish...it doesn't get any better.

I'll post some pics when I get some time.

Deal with these two fine gentlemen in confidence! :D:thumbup::thumbup:
