The missus handed me a stack of bills this morning that must have fallen behind the nightstand. (It wasn't me, honest!)

The biggest bill is for my daughter, Michelle. My step daughter, Abby, and my daughter Michelle were both chosen by their cultural exchange programs to go on a trip last year to represent their respective schools in Australia. Abby is in Jr. High / Middle School and Michelle was a Junior in HS. The girls have different last names, don't look alike, and Michelle didn't go to Junior High here, so no one knew they were related. Needless to say, Karrie and I were surprised (and proud!!!) that both girls were chosen! We couldn't raise the money for both girls so Michelle offered to give up her trip so Abby could go. Everyone was so pleased with Michelle's sacrifice and continued awesomeness that they held a position for her for their trip to Japan this year.

Of the $6499.00 fee, we have about $1349.00 left to pay by 1 May. She flies in 119 days!

I exchanged a short email with the maker and from what I can glean from the information provided is this is a LATER model RTAK when he was changing the name to LAK5. Newt did not mention it, but I'm guessing the RTAK name was obliterated on the knife because of this. THIS IS ONLY A GUESS.

We were planning on sharpening and using the knife this weekend in the yard, but given that I do sort of already have an RTAK (in my ex-wife's little paws), and we use an RCM, tomahawk, hatchet, and other machetes regularly, I am going to go ahead and sell the one I picked up at the gun show in San Antonio this weekend.

As you can see in the pics, it has some sheath wear and looks like it may have been used to cut some foam or something as there is wear on the Parkerizing, but the knife is in great shape. The sheath is ambidextrous and looks nearly new.

$250.00 - US Shipping included. I'll even let you have a 3 day tabletop inspection of the knife. If you hate it, send it back.

Check, money order, or I can process a CC payment through Square. I don't do PayPal.

I was wondering why no one bit on this, then I saw the typo on the price. Sorry about that!
