As a small boy, long before I knew what this cover material was called, I can remember being fascinated by the covers of Richards knives, and the way the shiny material caught the light. What was it? These type of covers were used on many inexpensive knives, made on both sides of The Pond, either alone, or on the Pile side of a knife with advertising or an image on the Mark side.
It's been a long while since we had a thread that covered Cracked Ice, so how about it? And feel free to throw in your Pearlux and MOTS too

What got me thinking of this thread was the matching vintage Hammer Brand knives in Cracked Ice I received from @JJ Cahill this week, but I dare say I can find one or two more

Here's the ones JJ sent me, each in beautiful condition
