I'm long overdue giving Dan this good feedback. I've bought five knives from him in the last few months (with a sixth in the works) and can't say enough good things about him and his work.

The quality of materials and craftsmanship in all of them have been top notch. His home brewed Damascus and San Mai blades and fixtures are impressive with his Ribbon San Mai being my personal favorite. The symmetry and consistancy of his grinds are spot on. The seamless assembly and blend of materials just scream quality in my eyes. The man is a very skilled Bladesmith and obviously loves what he does. Check out his FS ads and wesite, you'll see what I mean.

On top of all that he is a truly decent guy. Great to deal with and willing to work with you to get what you want. There has not been a single ripple in any of my dealings with him.

My home has been graced with one of Dan's "Rifleman's Fighter Bowies."

I don't have very much to compare it too in terms of excellence, but it is without a doubt the best purchase I have made since joining the forum.

To me, the fact that he layers his own steel really takes the cake. A true work of art as well as a tool of function. The balance is perfect.

In time, there will be more of his knives in my collection, I am sure.:thumbup:
