Remembered my coon-skin cap (as a kid), and where did they all go.

I caught a couple of episodes yesterday while flipping through the channels. My impression was that, for people who always wore the same clothes all day and night for weeks or months on end, they were pretty clean.

i was surprised at how often he lost his famous rifle and had it for the next show.

My wife is a big fan of the series so yeah, we watched a lot of Daniel Boone over the weekend. At least it was better than watching a lot of Pat Boone.

When the Daniel Boone thing first started I knew someone who bought his kids REAL coonskin caps. One day he came home and his kids complained they had been attacked by birds. He thought about it and wondered if the caps had anything to do with it. He put on a cap and went outside - and was immediately attacked by blue jays !!!

Ah yes. My buddy Mike lived down the road about a 1/4 mile or so. Every night after school either I would get off the bus at his house, or he would get off the bus at my house and we would watch Daniel Boone and his side kick Mingo.

Then we would go outside to kill bears.
