I just had an email exchange with Dan Certo over a knife that needs a bit of attention.
He emailed me a very detailed email, and I could tell he took the time to read and respond to every thought.
I bought a knife of his 2nd hand off of eBay, but Dan stands by his work.
I am now planning to buy a knife from him, and I feel he is very trustworthy and cares a lot about his work.

Got to second the notion, I have bought three knives from DMC and he is a real gentlemen, stands by his work, and a real pleasure to deal with.

Which knives did you buy from him?
I am curious because I am serously considering buying another from him in the near future.
I bought a 7" M1 commando.
 
I re-discovered his site burried on my PC. His pricing for what you get looks phenominal. I hope he drops by now that I explained that bladeforums is not kust for art knives. I hope to have one of his knives soon.


Any hope of seeing a review of the knife?

I have a M1 and a M4 Navy. I started out by getting Dan to do me one of his railroad spike knives for a friend who is really into trains and Old West artifacts. He was so impressed by the real forge technique that Dan used, I ventured fort to Ebay and bought the M1. I have dropped,kicked,used,abused and in general mistreated that blade and it keeps coming back for more. After that, I called Dan, had him do me a M4 Navy in D2, and it is now a staple on mt tactical rig for when I do entry demos. Everyone from PD to military have all seen it, admired it and lusted for it. I will suggest to Dan that he do a tiger stripe version for those of us that like that kind of finish.

Bottom Line?

If you want a safe queen, this is not the place to go. Dan's creations begged to be used, and when it comes down to that moment in time when I have to, I know my DMC will outperform any other blade out there.

igor77, this thread is eleven years old. I doubt cerberus is still following it. He hasn't been on BF since this past January.
