Got questions? Uh ..dont ask me. I dont know nothing bout knives. Everything I know about this knife is listed below. The pics were taken by the maker. The knife can be seen on his web page in one of the photos.
Buckman#10 has donated this Daniel Prentice Custom Damascus knife to be sold here with all of the proceeds to go to the Vampire Gerbil Guardian Angels Fund. Buckman#10 is a founding member of the VGGAs and wanted to do this for His Gerbilness. Kudos to Buckman #10 and thank you very much!!! A very generous gesture on Buckman#10s part, dont yall think? Thanks, Ted!
THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION OR RAFFLE !
Knifemaker Daniel Prentiss is an ABS apprentice and he was certified by Daniel Winkler. What this means to me is that you would get a good product from a maker who has passed some pretty tough standards set down by the American Bladesmiths Society. I guess Im preaching to the choir here . AND, a hand forged damascus knife for $200 is a really good price; by the time he passes the next step and gets his ABS Journeyman certificate, that price would at least double!
Check out his website for more about this knifemaker:

This is a hidden tang damascus medium contrast blade forged from L-6 and 1084. The pattern is a random pattern that has some birdseye from the forging. The double quenched blade supports a choil to reach beyond the guard to "Choke-Up" on the blade. The handle supports a nickel guard and a mosaic pin. The handle is a stabilized blue dyed maple burl.
The measurements are as follows:
Overall: 9 3/4"
Blade thickness: 1/8"
Handle: 4 1/2"
Cutting edge: 4 3/4"
Custom sheath to be provided by Mike Bartol, Leathermaker.
