Got questions? Uh…..don’t ask me. I don’t know nothing ‘bout knives. Everything I know about this knife is listed below. The pics were taken by the maker. The knife can be seen on his web page in one of the photos.

Buckman#10 has donated this Daniel Prentice Custom Damascus knife to be sold here with all of the proceeds to go to the Vampire Gerbil Guardian Angels Fund. Buckman#10 is a “founding” member of the VGGA’s and wanted to do this for His Gerbilness. Kudos to Buckman #10 and thank you very much!!! A very generous gesture on Buckman#10’s part, don’t y’all think? Thanks, Ted!

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION OR RAFFLE !

Knifemaker Daniel Prentiss is an ABS apprentice and he was certified by Daniel Winkler. What this means to me is that you would get a good product from a maker who has passed some pretty tough standards set down by the American Bladesmith’s Society. I guess I’m preaching to the choir here…. AND, a hand forged damascus knife for $200 is a really good price; by the time he passes the next step and gets his ABS Journeyman certificate, that price would at least double!

Check out his website for more about this knifemaker:

http://www.dpcustomknives.com/index.html

This is a hidden tang damascus medium contrast blade forged from L-6 and 1084. The pattern is a random pattern that has some birdseye from the forging. The double quenched blade supports a choil to reach beyond the guard to "Choke-Up" on the blade. The handle supports a nickel guard and a mosaic pin. The handle is a stabilized blue dyed maple burl.

The measurements are as follows:
Overall: 9 3/4"
Blade thickness: 1/8"
Handle: 4 1/2"
Cutting edge: 4 3/4"

Custom sheath to be provided by Mike Bartol, Leathermaker.

It's for an excellent cause.

And I have a sweetie at home who will love that blue handle.

Oh...and I like Dan (yet another military man).

So -- I'll take it! E-mail in-bound.

The Prentice has been sold.

I would like to thank Buckman#10 one more time for donating this knife to be sold here to add some $$ to the VGGA Fund.

This was not an auction or raffle.

Thanks!

Judy

More than normal? Not possible. You can also donate ANOTHER knife that could be sold to raise some VG Funds.

Got a Prentice you'd like to donate? :D
