-Extremely rare large period belt knife by Master Bladesmith Daniel Winkler. Those familiar with Daniel Winkler's work [ the Last of The Mohicans] know how rare it is to find one of his large belt knives on the secondary market, never mind one with damascus and mammoth ivory.
Features; 9" forged damascas blade [ featuring his makers stamp] 15" o/a length; fossilized mammoth ivory handle with aged silver pins and bolster; file work on back of knife; an amazing period handmade braintan sheath by Karen Shook with beadwork. This is a very impressive piece, and EXCEEDINGLY sharp, probably the keenest edge you'll ever experience on ANY knife. The o/a condition is excellent , and from an extremely popular Master Bladesmith, first 800.00+ shipping takes it.
