This is a custom knife from Dan Thornton that can only be called astonishing. I believe this was made in the 1980's. It was a part of a pair of knives in which the other was a small boot knife called the vindicator he made. The boot knife had the same wooden handle and sheath as this knife.

It is beautiful and the grind on the blade looks incredible. The sheath is made from wood and is rather dark (I enhanced the lighting on the pic so you could see the grain) with nickel silver pins in it giving it a pretty spectacular look. I thought the wood might have been ebony but I am not certain. The curves to the blade and the handle are like an art form and his grind sort of reminds me of Jody Sampson from the early bali-song custom shop.

I discovered the 1986 Blade annual spoke about Danny and his vindicator knife which is why I am presuming this one was made around the same time since it is made like the smaller boot knife.

I will cover shipping/insurance to anywhere in the conus.. Make me an offer and see if I will take it. I am asking $275 for this incredible piece of art.

Price Drop - I really need to move some of these to recover some money already spent on another acquisition so I will drop the price to $225 and will cover paypal and shipping!

This is not one of my knives. I do not know who made this knife. It looks like it's a stamped mark. I have never used a stamped mark like this one.

If you want to know more about Eddie White of Shadow Knives I am making a film about his career.

Check the preview out here.
