Here are the design specs:

Max Width............ 0.73 inches
Blade Width...........0.62 inches
Max thickness........0.48 inches

Read some posts, by and about you sort of disparaging your work. If I only had the dough, man. This is a great looking knife, not sure why it isn't selling for you. Good luck and keep your chin up.

Thanks Jon, I appreciate that. Knife making is a tough business and my "style" and material combinations may not appeal to every body. I am always searching for input and I value all the information I receive. It is slowly starting to take off for me. The more I get my work out there into the hands of customers, is one step closer to my goal.

It is the age old adage of; you can’t get a job because you don’t have any experience, but how do you get experience, if you can’t get a job?

I need to build my reputation, and I am a "risky" investment for customers/collectors, because I am relatively new on the scene. It will just take some time, but that is OK because I am not going anywhere anytime soon. I found my passion in life and I will always be making knives, pens, jewelry, CF, and who knows what else I will get into?

Hind site is 20/20 and sometime in the foreseeable future, people will be kicking themselves and saying; “Dang, I should have bought one of his knives before he had a three year waitng list.” ;)

I think it is a great design, both classic and elegant. But even after watching the video, I can't quite grasp the release mechanism. Can you describe it for me or direct me to where I can learn more? Thanks.

The blade is released by rotating the bolster that is on top in the video when the blade opens. The bolster pivots around the front screw location. If you look really close in the video you can see my thumb applying pressure to the bolster in a counter clockwise direction. The bolster has to be rotated approximately 3/32 of an inch to release the blade.

It is a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is a snap. The biggest tip I can give is to place your thumb at about a 90° to the blade and bolster and pull it towards the spine of the knife. You can also open the blade discretely by placing your other hand on the blade, rotate the bolster to release the blade, and guide the blade to open with the hand on the blade as opposed to letting her fly open.

I hope that helped. If you have any more questions, or if i did a crappy job of explaining it let me know.

Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it.
