This is one that will be on my available list. Its an aged 5" warnclif blade. 11" overall. 5/32" 0-1 with very hard cocobolo. This time in a dark patern with mosaics. I still have to make the sheath and put the edge on. Its an awsome sticker.

Another fine looking knife, BL.

The way that you are going, no one will believe that you part time new maker for very much longer.

You guys are too kind. I will need to make a sheath for this and post it FS. I am excited about getting some knives in use by you guys. :D :D

Thats a stunner!! Nice blend of beauty, function and proportions. I'd be hard pressed to decide between the Companion and this Wharny.Awesome work!

An ATS-34 version for the kitchen would rock! I like that shape for a paring / chopping knife. Maybe just a teeny radius on the edge tho.

peace
Jorge

I havent delt with stainless as of yet. Never say never though :D

I have filed the top to take the sharpness of the spine some. If I could redo it I would round it over a little more. This would be a beast in the kitchen ;)

I got the wood from Jim Gunderman. It came from a hugh piece. I will cut handles for a long time to come ;). I'd lik eto have a piece of ironwood though!!

That is a very nicely done one. It looks like its got a warm, welcoming feel. Love the aged finish on the blade. I did a double take on the pin placement and wanted to give it the double thumbs up. Great work. Jason.

I like the pin placement too Jason. Just a little different than 2 in the middle wich looks good too. I like the etched finish on 0-1. Its so easy to stain anyways. I almost hate to finish this one up and find a home for it :D

bl,

i really like the way you blended the handle into the ricasso, and the pins are really nice looking.

hope you don't mind that i'm gonna sneak in a ? for you? -- prompted by the background of one of your photos.

i picked up some leaf springs and u-bolts. do you know if the u-bolts are likely to be high carbon and would make a good knife?

thanks,

peterson

peterson - what I would recomend is heating a small portion of the u bolt to critical and quench. If it gets hard it will make a blade. If it doesnt get hard it will be best used for fittings.

BURNSY56 - your companion with this wood and pins will be destined for Canada in a couple weeks my friend. ;) I'll have to post pics :D

Jared P - I got a huge piece of cocobolo at the Winston Salem knife show. Its heavy duty stuff.... :D :D

I keep coming back to look at this one, I usually don't like the warncliff blades as much, but you changed my mind on that, I love that knife! damn that looks good!

not meant in a bad way, or to "copy" you, but I gotta try making my own warncliff now....I'd like to make a great big fighter with that blade style.

Thanks for the great pics, very cool knife. :)

I am glad you keep comming back Paintfool. That means I did something right ;). This style is growing on me too. I have another sketch I may try later on. Its similar just different ;)~

I keep thinking I may not have this for sale because I am liking it more and more but, I want to get some knives available for those who may like what I do. I will eventually get cought up and get more for this section of the forum. :)~

Thanks for the complements!

well I think you should keep that one man, I would
just make more in the same style, but keep the original!

is it still considered a warncliff if I slightly rounded the cutting edge? (better for slicing) but kept the point down?

ya got me all inspired here hahahaha :D
