Dark Cocobolo on Warnclif

Just call it a modified Warncliff, or Warncliff inspired ;). I'd like to kep them all but I know I dont NEED them all ;) This will make a cool knife for the makers trade in March if I still have it then. Either way its not mine for long but it makes room for new designs as well as shelf space for repeat designs. Thats the perk for being a maker I guess. The handle on this is nicely domed over. I didnt just round over the corners. This gave it a nice warm, cumfy fit. Very nice indeed.

I seen your homepage.Nice work. Ya think you could show me your Idea for a Trout Knife (or as most call them ,Bird and Trout knives)? You dont need to make one,just draw a rough sketch and post or send to me by E-mail.I promis I wont still your designe. It's just that is my favorite fixed blade designe. :D

Here is a med. design that would translate well for a trout and bird(one on right). I would probably slim it down to be a slimmer blade. What are you looking for exactly? I have a sketchbook that I pull from and modify rough ideas. Have you sketched up any? Its alot of fun. You need to get the 2005 Annual knife book thats comming out soon. I think that they have a section just for smallish knives but I cant be sure. I know that that for a user a bird and trout is an awsome companion to a larger hunter.

As for what I want exactly, is what the knifemaker want's in a trout knife. I dont like to put creative people in a box. I have made knive's year's ago but as for now I am not able to pursue that joy.
I like to see the maker's craftsmanship reflected in his knife in his own way.I am not refering to the embelishment but the basic craftsmanship in a well made tool. ( Good looks don't hurt,But you know what I mean.) :)
