Really enjoying this, Keith. The shop, the process, and the knife are all a pleasure to see.

Curious about your "linisher" - is that Aussie for what us Americans call a grinder?
Thanks Wulf. Yep you got that one allright. A grinder here usually means a bench grinder with vitrified ( hard ) wheels or a 9 " angle grinder.
Sort of like you call it 2" by 4", Down here we call it a 4b2 :D
Cheers Keith

Great stuff my far away friend!

I've forged quite a few daggers, so I know forging a wonkey corkscrew is pretty easy... but forging a nice symmetrical dagger, and so close to shape, like yours is a hard thing to pull off--- NICE!!! :)

"magic revealo juice" Oh that gave me a good laugh! I'm going to be borrowing that one from 'ya Keith. :D

Love your (1-2-3 block + T nut studs) pin bending jig... GREAT idea. Right along with the 1-2-3 block handle working fixture.

Great stuff Keith, thanks! :)

And nice hammer!!!
HA ! Far away friend I like that. I only saw the 123 blocks recently at MS Shawn Mc Intyres place and that was one of those light bulb moments, so many uses yeah,
The hammer is sweet, just need to finish the press ( only been 5 years )
Thanks for the comments mate.
Cheers Keith

Just have to say at this point. Thanks MikeR Jr, Steve, Manuel, Alex, John, Dusty, Adam, Shaw, And anyone else I may have missed out on for your comments and interest in this build. It really means a lot to get some feedback about your work.
Cheers Keith

Apart from having disasters with putting up video. I did have another. No kidding  So time to glue it all up once the carving had been done. recently got some manganeses phosphate for parkerising. Dark Dagger all that , so I parkerised the fittings, well i must have left some sludge on the guard and it came out looking very blotchy. BUGGA! I'm at finished size on my fittings. What to do? My mate Russell came to the rescue and treated the fittings with Ceracote. Champion! What a great job. Disaster avoided.
Here it is all done. Thanks again for looking and comments welcome.
Cheers Keith

Outstanding work, Keith! It's exactly what a dagger should be, sexy with a touch of sinister. You nailed it, well done.

Keith I really enjoyed your WIP and video the Dagger is a read work of art. Thank you for taking the time to show us the little tips and tricks and giving us some insight into your work.

Looking good, Keith. Very nice damascus dagger blade, and suitably sinister guard to go with it.

John

man, that thing is CUTE!

Hey Keith, I thought you were all talk until I saw this thread!

Just kidding mate I absolutely love everything about the dagger. I particularly like the way you've got the flame happening so nicely on the sheath to compliment the handle. Your Damascus is neither over nor under stated, it is simply perfect for this knife.

But now more importantly
Just had a small bout of computer rage there, but a couple of the yellow ones and its all real good now
