Wonderfull work. How were those used back in the day? Were they choppers or were they used to block with another sword?

As far as my knowledge goes, this is a XIII century inspired dagger, they were carried along side with a sword, for close combat, they could be used to block attacks, but they were primarily stabbing weapons.
