Dark Manix inbound

Got mine ordered. BHQ has them in stock. Not a pre-order, but actually in stock. [Edit: Sold out. Now only available via pre-order]

Their pic shows the handle to be a little darker than other pics that I have seen. Seems to me to be more likely the correct color (Midnight Blue per Sal). Can't wait to get it in! As much as I like my LW, this one really has me excited. :D

I managed to snag one from BladeHQ earlier today, but they are available for preorder and also at GPKnives and Knifecenter as well.

Now the real question is this: Are the blades on the S110V lightweight model and the new FFG S30V G10 Manix the same? And I know the pivot is adjustable, but is it removable? I know the scales are pinned, but I'm wondering if you can remove the pivot entirely and wiggle the blade out. I am really drooling over the thought of a Frankenmanix with some custom G10 scales and S110V :)

Same thought had crossed my mind. I would happily exchange blades with my CTS-XHP manix 2.

Anyone know if Knifecenter over sells their pre-orders? They ship to Canada which is what I need and I just ordered one a few mins ago. I really want this version.

It's not a sprint run or dealer exclusive. You'll get one.

Oh that's great news thanks! I've never once been able to successfully get my hands on spyderco sprint that I wanted. Either the retailer won't ship to Canada or I just don't know they are out.

This is clipped and pasted from the email that they sent me Feb. 25 this year. The knives first began shipping months before that. I placed my order about May 2013.
"We regret to inform you that the Spyderco C36GPGY Military Sprint Run is now unavailable. Spyderco has ceased production of this special item."

I wonder how many of these will be built? Lol,always something exciting coming from Spyderco.

I placed my order with the Knife Center and I hope that they just dont take a whole bunch of pre-orders and dont just accept orders for the ones they are to receive! :)
