Dark Ops knives

gak, you linked that ammo add. I was just thinking about that ammo. some of the stuff they claim about it is funny (things like how it is legendary ammo in counterterrorism, or how every covert us air marshal carries it etc)

macgregor22: Even if they were not silly the whole rip-off thing gets in my way. And I really do not know how they hold up. Perhaps we need to get one over to Noss4 at knifetests. ;)

I think noss would have a ball with this one, It very well may break on the apple because of all the steel they remove for the serrations:D
I to wonder how they stay above water, of course then I get an image of some 12 year old crying to his mother that this is what he needs to compleat his airsofting d3lta tacticool ranger uniform:D

Another co. that like to "BORROW" designs is MTech. I got together with a couple of buddies to test out various knives for fun and we tested an MTech knock-off of a Busse Mean Street. At first it seemed to be holding up pretty well. In fact it was not that bad at all. But it snapped like a cheap pencil with a little prying.

So I guess there are 2 issues for me. (1) The fact that rip-offs are just bad. and (2) The quality just doesn't seem to be duplicated. Some might but just not the few I have run accross.

The whole 'covert de-animation activities' thing in their advertising turned me off. Plus the fact that most of their stuff looks like something a Mall-Klingon would buy.

thx - cpr

I think NOSS should do a destruction test on one of these things. Be a great laugh.

:DNot a bad idea I think:D.

Actually it would be awsome for Kliff Stump to do a test and write up. Havent heard from him in a while.
