You mean dork ops? Your not posting from the mall on your I phone are you??? ;)

In all seriousness, I wold recommend that you spend your hard earned money on another brand.

The name itself inspires doubt.

Why not just get a nice Zero Tolerance knife instead? Can't get much better than a solid hunk of S30V coated in DLC.

I googled dark ops knives when I saw this thread. Wow they were tailor made for the high speed low drag mall ninja operator! I seriously can't see any person who is well informed buying one of those. I would be embarrassed to show that in public.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but seriously, save that $250 and add a little more and get a sebenza.

Yes, I have an opinion. Dark Ops knives are the best knives in the history of knifemaking. They perform 5000% better than any other brand or custom knife. I was a skinny, weak nerd until I bought a Dark Ops knife. Now I am a super-secret, black ops, special operator with a bodycount of over 300 terrorists, and one litterbug. There is nothing you can't achieve with a dark Ops knife in your hand. They are mandatory issue to all SAS, Delta, SEAL and G. I. Joe personnel. Because we know its the best.

Listen to this guy. He seems legit.

No need to be mean

The reason I joined this board was to become better informed
before buying anything

I want to buy a tactical fixed blade in the 7-8 inch blade range

SilentJohn, we didn't mean to be mean to you, really.

Dark Ops brings out the worst in us. They have a turbulent past, beginning with ripping off Extrema Ratio's designs. Their versions, and the over-the-top advertising, weren't meant to appeal to serious knife users.

And thanks to this thread I will not be buying from them

Actually, they were being pretty kind. But you live and learn.

(btw. stay away from Rogue Warrior Knives and Red Scorpion 6 as well.)

Sorry to bother I guess my inner nutbar got the best of me and I already know RS6 is a piece of s**t company with over priced paperweights

I don't want to have to buy from tops again, I am looking for a large tactical knife something a solider would use to put a hurting on some insurgents

I'm curious. What do you not like about Tops to not get another knife from them? As far as a good, basic 7-8" combat blade, try out the Entrek Force Recon or Merc. I have them both, really solid knives and made in the USA.
