Dark Ops Sheath

Funny thing is, I thought that CS talked a lot of smack.

Ok I was suckered into signing up for a catalog. It came in the mail, and wow shiny slick pictures and adds, and when I picked it up about 4 sheets fell out of it. (that's not good) Then I started reading it. (hey don't judge me I was on the can and I ran out of other things to read)

I just couldn't believe how into themselves they were about their products. Yes you need to be into your product if you want to sell it, but this was almost dare I say self masturbational.

I do guess that people buy them, so, if it works for them good for them. As for me, I'll go with something a little bit more practical, and doesn't require a set of twenty sided dice to go with them.

Everyone of you got my post wrong.I'm letting you know about the sheath because it's random. You don't know what color your getting until you get the knife.I was telling you this so your not surprized like I was.

Well, the response you got here about Dark Ops, is pretty much standard on many, many knife forums.
I appreciate what YOUR intention was irish317!! That was very nice of you. I know this wasn't what you expected. Sorry. :o

Their booth looks so unapealing, whats with the sickly green packaging on their knives?

Somebody hurled on their marketing material and they thought it was a good idea and kept it.

No, I think it's a precaution in case a prospective customer hurls on it ... so that won't be so conspicuous....

Funny thing is, the design and construction of their knives seems sound. Sadly, they seem to be appealing to the "Dumb-Dumb Weekend Warrior" mentality. That. and the fact that there's writing on the blades. Did they ever hear of "less is more?" I prefer not to advertise for companies... unless I'm being paid to do so. Hear that Nike/Gap/Boss et al?
Has anyone ever tried their knives? Are they at least any good? The prices are fairly reasonable and as far as the stupid logos and advertising on the blades... Tremclad Black will take care of that.
(The box would get tossed faster than a used kleenex)

yes ER is pretty good imho, there folders are as heavy duty as it gets in a production knife, there fixed blades are also pretty good, i am not crazy about the FB designs though, i do like the folders. i honestly think the ER nemesis/fulcrum is as heavy duty as a strider AR/GB, which is saying something.
