Dark red bone or chestnut bone peanut? Help!

In my opinion the Chestnut dye is one of Case's best modern bone colors, maybe the best. OH

As others have mentioned the Old Red Bone (Pocketworn) and Deep Red Bone are really "Bright Red" or "Easter Egg Red". The only truly dark red bone that I've seen from recent Case knives is the Brick Red Bone available on certain knives in the Select Series (Texas Jack pictured here) - not sure if Case offers the peanut pattern in the Select Series Brick Red or not. Yeah, in the end, I have to agree with that. As far as color, evenness of the stain, Case seems to do the best job on the chestnut.

I love the red bone, even the lighter-colored newer stuff. But there's nothing better than the smooth chestnut bone used by Case for some patterns.
