Dark Tumbled Stonewashed Finish on Titanium

Does anyone know how it is done? I have stonewashed a few of my Titanium EDC lights and am happy with the finish. I have seen some knife scales in Titanium that have an almost Black stonewashed finish. Does anyone know how this finish is done?

To make them dark, blast with a coarse abrasive like silicon carbide, tumble for a few minutes, then rub with Mineral oil.
