Darken stagg horn

I recently purchased some stagg horn which is rather light in color.Does anyone know what product or process I can use to "darken stagg horn".

I have had great luck with shoe polish to darken many a horn. You slightly warm the antler and rub it on where you want to darken, wipe off escess with a clean rag, let dry and your golden!

I use permanganate
this is red deer and it was almost all white when I started ..
it acts as an oxidizer and is what the imported Stag was all soaked in to kill anything that shouldn't be imported here.. you can get it at sears in the water softener department..also if you use it don't mix it with anything but water..http://www.knivesby.com/Potassium-Permanganate.html
