Anyway, I got caught out in my first Ganza as well, back in the day, and I just sent another email when the real Jerry posted Go. No worries, I got everything I asked for :thumbup:

The next Ganza I set up my own email server in the US (I'm in the UK) with a trigger to flood pre-written emails out directly to the Bussecombat server when I activated it. That got me a lower LE number than I would otherwise have stood a chance of. The lengths we international HOGs have to go to... In those days though Bladeforums would be almost completely unresponsive for the whole Ganza hour; nothing like the little bit of a slow down it does now. I also had an auto-refresh script in my web browser to reload ten windows every second in a round-robin fashion. Yes, it was necessary :eek:

It gets easier once you've spent a lot of money and been through a few Ganzaaas! ;-)

The knife I wanted most in the last few years was the SFNO-LE. I poured scotch, sat at my computer, started sweating, and pressed F5 until my fingers hurt. Then a treacherous Hog dredged up an actual Go post of Jerry's from years past and fooled me. I bit and was too new to send follow-up emails. It was really disappointing and frustrating because I wanted this knife so much. But then I was saved weeks later by the Busse crew (Amy at the time) who let me know that there were a few knives available since not every Hog made good on their order.

I stand corrected. Kinda what I was fishing for. Confirmation or examples of how I could be wrong. Let me just say that Busse fans are weird.
