Darn it! - Lost my knife - suggestions?

I'd check out the Griptilian too. Axis lock rules, and 440C done right is nothing to sneeze at.

BM Ambush, small or large, is getting good reviews. Camillus EDC is a great knife, but many including me have found its handle to be uncomfortably small. And my hands are only slightly large.

I don't know, I could be wrong, but I think he has picked a new knife by now considering this post is 2 years old. ;)

Busse Battle Mistress. Though that may protrude out of your pocket a little and is a tad bit over $50.

Oh what the heck, just go for the Cami EDC. I carry a talonite and I have to agree with fish that the EDC grip is a little small and my hands aren't big either. The EDC is also thin and lite making it almost unnoticeable in the pocket.

I like the Kershaw Leek with the Speedlock opener.
However, I too just lost mine, EDC right now is a BM 710.

Benchmade Griptillian/Mini-Grip or 530. The bigger two are going to push your $50 limit by $5 or $10, but if you can live with that they're incredible. The Mini-Grip streets for ~$50, with a 2.9" blade.

I will throw in a vote for the CRKT M16. I have the M16-03 with the aluminum handles and I like it alot.
