i purchased a couple of MOD razorbacks a while back, and while i think the knives are certainly ok, the coating sucked - the kydex sheaths had worn shiny spots, etc w/very little use/carry - i contacted MOD about a recoat and they said they no longer offered this - one thread in the forum was dedicated to MOD knives, pros and cons, and i posted that the imho the coating sucked - darrel lewis of bodycoat emailed me and explained that MOD was now using him to coat the knives, and he offered to recoat for free (i had offered to pay MOD) ! also explained the process, etc so i took off the handles and shipped - due to UPS taking 9 days(!) i got the blades back in about 2 wks - they look like new, and i will see how the new coating holds up, but i am pretty confident it will perform as darrel indicated - a great guy to do business with and a geat addition to MOD imho
