Darrel Ralph comparison to Chris Reeve

I way a CR in Advanced Cutlery in the mall. The blade was askew and the overall impression was, it's nice, but what's the big deal.

I saw the DR AXD and heard opinions about it then got one. I'm totally impressed. Soo many details to the knife. The blade is sharp at the belly yet strong at the tip.

Washers are phosphor bronze but as silky to open, yet stronger than nylon/teflon.

No blade play, centered, cool sound when locking open. The clip is extended on one end serving as a hindering device to prevent to frame lock from extending post the body of the scale.

textured scaled prevent slipping when hands are wet.

One great thing about Darrel (There are many) is that he is always striving to make a better product. He constantly experiments and improves processes, procedures and his designs have evolved over time into some really special patterns.

The Madd Maxx is really a classic design. I have seen the production version in the pockets of several custom makers.

The EDC was always underappreciated, that is until you own one.
I have a Talonite model that Darrel and Rob Simonich made together and it is a terrific working folder.

Call Big D and order the knife of your dreams. The wait will go by quickly and you will get exactly what you want, built to your specs.
 
I dare say get a Camillus D2 EDC from AG Russel for 3 times the $ you cann't get a better framelock.
 
Roefisher, wowza that is one good looking folder. What are you going to do though when your gran see's you have been chopping up her Rose bushes to make photo stands? :D
 
I just walked a half mile to get the Tuesday $2 off on a pound of Intelligentsia coffee and I find myself trying to justify a DR folder.
This thread is a bad infulence and should be locked down lest it lead to further financial irresposibility.
