Talk about a class act - Darrel Ralph is the man.

Last Thursday I sent him a Mad Maxx to have the thumbstud replaced and the pocket-clip reversed for a tip-up carry, today (7 days later) the UPS guy shows up with my improved Mad Maxx, not only did Darrel put on a new stlye clip (tip-up) he sent it back looking new, and in a nice new pouch.

I sent him the knife 2nd day UPS and he returned it 2nd day UPS -so all and all he only had the Knife for one business day before the job was completed. Which tells me he is more concerned about his existing customers than producing new knives.

It is no wonder I own a few of Darrel's knives - Great Knives and Great Service.

I second the motion. Darrel is the best, flat out.... best designs, best guy to deal with!

My experience with Darrel's service have been similar.
Wonderful knives, and a great guy to deal with.
Darrel rules.

Ditto! I hope to meet Darrell at the Blade Show next June, I'm saving my pennies for the trip and for that Carbon Fiber EDC, I HAVE to have!

I'm resurrecting this thread to say I sent Darrel my two EDC's for a refurb on Wednesday 9/4/02. He received them on 9/9/02. I have them back in my hands on 9/13/02. They may have come yesterday, I wasn't home to pick them up. That is quick service! And they look great. All polished screws, pivot pins, etc. Ceramic peen finish on handles (no anodizing), reblasted blades. Awesome! Thanks Darrel!

Thats all good to hear! I've got a left handed static maxx on order, my first custom knife, so far I have phoned Darrel with a few questions and he has allways had time to speak to me. It's an international order to boot! cant wait for the beginning of october when it should arrive.:D :D :D (he said it would take about 60 days, 30 of which are waiting for my card to clear because it's an international order and there is a lot of fraud about)

Cant wait cant wait cant wait CANT WAIT:D :)
 
I broke my small EDC. I emailed Darrel. He said:

"Send it to me, I'll fix 'er up".

Well folks, what I have in my hands today is a completely rebuilt EDC with all the new modifications he is putting on the Static Maxx: domed, satin finish handles, etc. The lock-up on this one blows the old one into the weeds! Darrel did all this for a very reasonable fee. I agree, he is concerned with his existing customers. Thank you Darrel!

-from the idiot who actually broke his framelock EDC. I won't be taking my knives apart anymore either!
