I've always been a big fan of Darrel Ralph's Gun Hammer design, so when I saw that True North Knives had commissioned another run of exclusive HTM (Hand Tech Made, Darrel's mid-tech line) Gun Hammers, I decided to pick one up. In fact, I was so enamored with the design that I bought the knife even knowing that I don't really like assisted openers. The knife arrived on Tuesday (Jan. 18), and while as expected I love the design, blade shape, F&F, and so on, I've realized that the A/O really is a deal-breaker for me. That's why I'm letting it go.

Just to be clear, the problem isn't at all with Darrel/HTM's implementation of the A/O: this knife flies open as hard and fast as any A/O I've come across (and I have a decent number since I was into them when I first started collecting). If you like A/O, you will love the A/O on this knife. Everything else about the knife is excellent as well: blade dead center, absolutely no blade play vertically or horizontally, etc.

I'm calling it LNIB rather than NIB because I put a bit of Sharpie on the blade tang due to the titanium liner lock being a tiny bit sticky. But other than that the knife is brand new: it's in the exact condition I received it and has never been used or carried. It comes with all original accessories and documentation: box, paperwork, and extra clip/screws. I'll also include a copy of my receipt from TNK for the sake of completeness.

Direct from TNK, this knife would run a U.S. buyer $305-310 shipped ($280 for the knife, plus $25-30 for shipping [TNK is in Canada and uses only 2-day or overnight international shipping, which are $25 and $30, respectively]). I'm asking SOLD shipped for it (add 3% for PayPal if not using the "personal" option). Email address for PayPal is bladeforums.neuron@gmail.com. CONUS buyers only, please. (I'm not interested in trades at this time.)

First "I'll take it" posted in the thread or via PM/email gets it. Feel free to PM or email me with any questions.

Pic is hard to tell, is the blade a satin or stonewash finish?
It's satin. Here is a pic from TNK's site, which was taken in more neutral lighting and allows you to see the blade finish and handle color more clearly (the handle is a dark green that looks almost black except under bright light).

Hey, I have the same model (also got it from Neil at TNK).
I don't know if it helps, but here are a few pix I have of mine that show the blade pretty well:

It's a great knife, btw!

Great pics -- they do show the blade and handle very nicely. Thanks!
