Did this knife ever come out? I haven't heard anything about it for several months now. I was trying to find specs like blade length, but even Darrel's website doesn't list anything new.

Does anyone have one? Thoughts/opinions?

MQ-1A

It IS mentioned on DDR's site.

I meant to say "...doesn't list anything new."

The page that is up has been the same since the knife was in prototype stage. I know there were a couple prototypes sold here and there. The page looks undone since it has no specs besides s30v blade steel and a titanium lockbar.

I do want one. Just don't have the funds atm. I was just wondering if he decided to cancel production, because I haven't found any for sale from vendors.

I just got a reply from Darrel regarding the MQ-1A(B):

"We are making the handles now for the version 2. They will be type 3 military anodized handles and s30v blades. We have two styles of blades that will be available. Please look at the Newsletter when it comes out. When they are ready you will be able to order from it."

So he won't have any made of g-10? I always prefer g-10 for scratch resistance purposes.

Harkamus, Call Darrel or click the link and send your questions . That is the fastest way to get an answer. I saw some prototypes the last time I was there; but I believe the prototypes are sold.

Hope this helps. Dan

At one point there was some talk about a Bowie style blade to be offered on the MAXX-Q, in it's "re-vamped" edition. Anyone have any intel?

I e-mailed an inquiry about this several months ago but never got a response.

I emailed him a few days ago as well, but do not feel that I will get a response. I say that because I requested a catalog months ago and never got one either.

I had the DLC coated version up on the sales board and just sold it this weekend.

It has a nice finish and is a solid knife and easy to flip open, also very sharp.

I bought mine a long time ago and they still readily available in either black or plain finish.
