I have a Darrel Ralph small Apogee framelock folder with carved and anodized titanium handle slabs and an S90V recurve blade for sale. As many of you may know, S90V is perhaps the best edgeholding stainless steel made in the US, and it's relatively uncommon to find a knife with a blade made from this high-performance alloy.
The Apogee also possesses a strong lockup, a good detente, and very smooth action. The colors in the anodizing are among of the nicest that I have yet seen on a knife. The knife had been carried and very lightly used, but it was sent back to Darrel for a refurb, and it has not been carried or used since being returned from the refurb. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the handle near the clip that have now been anodized over so that they are barely visible, and aside from them, this knife is in perfect condtion.
This Apogee framelock is a really great knife, by far my favorite Ralph I have ever owned, and it's a discontinued model. The only reason that I am letting it go is because I have been unable to work it back into my EDC rotation since getting it back from Darrel, so I feel it would be best in a new home where it will get more attention.
***SOLD***
The specs:
Condition: Near mint
Blade length: 3 1/4" from tip to handle
Overall length: 7 1/2"
Blade thickness: 1/8" at serrated thumb ramp
Blade steel: S90V (CPM 420V)
Blade finish: Handrubbed flats, satin grinds
Edge: Plain
Handle material: Titanium, carved and anodized
Lock: Titanium frame lock
Clip: Tip down, stonewashed and anodized a faint purple
For payment, I prefer money orders, but I will also accept cashier's checks, PayPal, and cash (at your own risk). If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but I will only ship to a PayPal-confirmed address with that method of payment. Personal checks have to clear before I ship the knife.
I will consider trades or partial trades for custom folders. No serrated or coated blades, please.
Feel free to post, email, or PM any questions. Thanks for looking!
