Several years ago I bought a Darryl Ralph Madd Maxx folder from member on the forum. About a year ago the D2 blade developed some small rust spots.
I tried to get them out as best I could but some remained. A few months ago I decided to ask Darryl if he could get them out. Darryl told me to send it in and he'd do his best. Well, I got it back a couple weeks ago and it looks brand new! He even put back on his super razor sharp edge! All of his work and the postage back back to me was gratis!

Now THAT is a maker that stands behind his work and has superb customer relations!

I know that there are many custom makers would do the same thing that Darry did, I just wanted to say that when they do I feel that it's only right that the customer give them the public praise and recognition that they justly deserve!

Bravo Darryl and thanks again!

I couldn't agree more. I have acquired my third DDR and they are all excellent. While I have had no issues with any of them, I did contact Darrel regarding compatibility between his newer clips and older model knives. A question that many would consider trivial. Perhaps to trivial to respond. Not only did he respond within minutes, but we corresponded back and forth several times, discussing clip possibilities.

I have contacted other knife makers in the past regarding availability of their knives or service issues and never recevied a single reply. As such, I lost interest in their knives altogether. From my limited experience, I would have to say Darrel Ralph, and his knives, are first class!
